Submited By: Dana on 06/16/2009 I actually bought this as my second collective pitch heli (first was axe CP) and I have to say this is a great bird to fly out of the box. Because of crashes I upgraded the entire head to aluminum and have completely reworked the 3-1/reciever/wires, but this is my main bird of choice... for now. Having rebuilt this bird (from having to replace the main frame), you can trust my word on the below pro/con section.
Pros: very stable (after trimmed, no handed hover 5-10 seconds), direct drive tail rotor is very responsive, heading lock gyro is solid, radio is nice and compatable with most other Eflight models, bell hiller head comes stock, looks good..with upgraded landing gear, its one of the better looking helis in its class.
Cons: Expensive... you can get a bigger belt driven RTF cheaper (example-Belt Cpv2), stock landing gear is weak and almost a must to upgrade at $12.99 (HD1128-W1-V2), tail boom is fragile and will likely crack if crashed, stock set up of wires and ESC/reciever is messy (wires touching the motor and almost touching main gear and servo arms), pricey replacement parts.
Overall I give it a 4 due to some of the cons, but honestly most of the cons are easily fixed (except the price) I have found Eflights prices pretty high for parts, but they do offer a good amount of upgrade parts as well. It does fly great and is very stable. Would reccomend for the intermediate level that wants more control. P.S. its way better than the blade cp pro.
