Hyperion TITAN 90A HI-PRO Brushless ESC OPTO (no bec) 16-36 NiX, 5S-12S lipo, V31 Firmware
Perfect match for the Z40 and Z50 Series Hyperion Motors, and smoothly runs all motor types from 2-pole to many-pole...
The Titan Brushless Speed controllers are proven winners, with more than 50,000 units sold worldwide since 2003. The current lineup includes 10A to 90A controllers supporting 3S to 12S lithium cells maximum depending on type. NiCd and NiMH are also supported
The newest additions to the range of Hyperion ESC are the "PSB" and "PSW" lineup (see pics below), which all have Switching Power Supply BEC (SBEC) on the controllers. BEC circuits supply power from your main battery pack to the receiver and servos. "Normal" step-down BEC are limited to 3S lithium packs as a maximum if you want to use even 3 servos. But our Cool BEC ESC can power as many as 8 servos, and use main packs up to 6S!
V31 ESC add these features:
* "Gas Mode" selection under RPM Control section. No RPM control is engaged in this case, but spool up on first start is very soft, to spare main gear from damage.
* HV ESC have ACCELERATION DELAY settings added, to avoid stalling motor when throttle is advanced very quickly with large props and high voltage batteries.
All the Hyperion brushless controllers have a rich set of programming features which can be set either by stick commands from your transmitter, via the programming interface in the Hyperion Emeter, or by Hyperion PC Cable and software.
Our ESC processor is a well-proven type, and the software is the result of nearly four years of refinement and testing. The result is extremely smooth motor starts, no matter the motor type, and high efficiency at all throttle positions.

We include a receiver switch (as seen in picture right) on the Titan BEC controllers of 50A and higher. There are times when the battery cannot be immediately disconnected after a flight, or a flight started right after connecting the battery. Especially for larger models, the switch is a safety advantage, as keeping it off insures that no one else on the same frequency will inadvertently start your motor. NOTE: The switch is NOT intended to allow switching off and then back on to fly the model a second time. It in ONLY to keep others from operating your model before you can remove the battery. ALWAYS REMOVE THE BATTERY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER A FLIGHT. BEC switches (all controller brands) cannot disconnect the controller from main flight pack; they only disconnect power to your receiver. While main flight pack is connected to the controller a small current draw always exists, even with BEC switch off. This will cause your battery to completely discharge if left connected, and that will very likely damage the battery.
