If you buy this unit for your msr be prepared to ream out the hole for the feathering shaft. Microheli made the fit so tight that the flybar cannot move freely as it has to to eliminate TBE. As soon as I find a drill or reamer the correct size I'll post it.

I highly recommend this as a first upgrade to the MSR... considerable difference. Like the MSR itself, these grips can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'.

My first review has been premature. After some closer inspection of the issue, turns out the TBE was my own doing. Typical of a newbe like me, I had the blade grip screws installed just tight enough to cause the TBE. Make sure to get those screws in loose, and use lock-tite to secure them. Tip, just a dab of lock-tite on the bottom of the blade grips where the screws protrude will be sufficient. Great upgrade! Thanks Microheli!

Well, I must admit I was attracted to this part because I have broken a small number of stock grips, and was in the market for a more durable grip. After installing this blade grip exactly according to directions, and taking my MSR out for a test flight, I can say I will be sticking with the stock plastic grips for now. This blade grip gave my heli a bad case of TBE. I tried the grips with and without the stock washers. Without the washers, (seems to be the correct way to install this grip) the TBE was reduced, but not enough to garner a rave review from me. I fail these grips.

If you buy the microheli alum. blade grip you need to open up the hole for the feathering shaft. Shaft size app..0465-.0467.
use a 3/64 drill-.0468 to open it up - use a fine lapping compound or toothpast to lap it in. open until grip moves freely.
