HobbyWing Platinum PRO V4 80A ESC (3S-6S) - 30203200
Stretched my Goblin 380 to 420 and on the process upgrade the ESC from 60a to 80a. HobbyWing hasn’t disappoint me yet. Easy setup with programming box, HeliStore Gov works very nice. Highly recommended.
Works with no issue.
Replaced the one in my 470LM, also bought a second one for my T-Rex 500X. Snug fit, but fit well.I used a 18mm high riser block to install on the 500.
The ESC is top notched. I especially like the built in governor output which I can connect to the FBL controller. No need to buy separate components.
The unit comes with the internal governor as default. It works so well I have yet to change it.I kept everything default, and it worked well.
I really like the powerful BEC in the unit. Works good with hi power servos.
Runs cool with my setup, I have not had to install the included fan. (Yes it does include a fan)!
There is a lot of program options, so order a programmer with the ESC. I use XT-90 Sparkless connectors with it.
Can't go wrong with a Hobbywing ESC. Probably overkill for my Goblin 380, but good nonetheless.
Align makes great helicopters but just OK ESCs. The Hobbywing Platinum PRO V4 80A ESC is buttery smooth on start up and consistently performs perfectly flight after flight. No overheating either in 95F degree weather. I have upgraded my entire fleet to Hobbywing ESCs and am extremely happy with them.
Awesome esc perfect fit for all small helicopters!
The fit is a little tight in the buddy 380. However, the cg is perfect and the telemetry with vcontrol is awesome.
