How to update your iKon to the latest software version
Note: most new features only available on the iKon2, but updates continue to optimize flight performance on all iKon's!
Be sure your PC is connected to the internet
Download and install the iKon software if you have not already done so //www.ikonflybarless.com/download
Power up your iKon (max 2s LiPo, watch polarity, and never apply power to 4-5-6/bind) and plug it into your PC using a micro USB cable - not included. If you see driver installation start, wait for this to complete.
Now start the iKon software. Be sure to accept any software updates, and then be sure to accept any firmware updates offered.
Your iKon should now be running the latest firmware version.

I didn't even need one yet but they're never in stock and hard to get so finally one was available and I bought it so I guess now I have to buy another helicopter I think I did that in reverse
This is my sixth one. I bought this for my new Raw 420. They perform work very well and easy to setup after you get familiar with these units. They are also pretty close to being optimized after the bench setup and a little tweaking at the field to be perfect. Although I prefer to use the ESC governor you can still read RPM's on your computer or phone which is handy. About a month ago I got into a bad situation with my Oxy 4 and the rescue did save me from a crash. I hope they are back in stock soon as I'm building a Raw 580.
I previously used other brand FBL units from Beast, Align, etc.
From the first time I tried an Ikon 2 BT, it was a game changer. For the price and the features you get, it cannot be beat. No upgrades, nothing extra to spend. The logging is useful and it has rescue and a stability mode for anyone wanting that.
I have Ikon 2 BT’s in all my helis now from 380 on up to 700 size. Rarely do I have to do much tuning aside from a little tail gain adjustment.
I run 3 headsets banks and three rate banks. Usually 3D rates, then the next two down from there for sport flying or taking off.
Also the software is very user friendly. Just hover the item on screen and it explains exactly what it is.
I bought the IKON2 to replace a Microbeast that came with a new Align heli. Why, you might ask. Well the IKON has auto leveling and recovery built-in while this option would cost an additional $95 to add to the MB. BT is awesome too and makes adjustments at the field using a smart phone a breeze. I would highly recommend this stabilizer to anyone.

The IKON2 is excellent. The software is the simplest I've used. The integrated Bluetooth is a plus since I don't require a laptop at the field for full control of parameters. The Bluetooth interface software is an additional purchase though. My USB cable from my cell phone interface was flawless. I will not hesitate to purchase additional IKON2.
This is my 5th IKON2 BT which means I am really happy with this product. My helis equipped with it flies great and I like the convenience of having BT which allows me to download my logs to the computer wirelessly or make tweaks with the settings on the field with my smartphone. I also like that the IKON integrates well with my Spektrum DX9 when using the 4651T telemetry receiver allowing me to set readouts and set alarms based on battery mah consumption for example. Finally the latest IKON2 BT I got did away with the cardboard cutout that held (barely) the controller inside the box. Controller, tapes, and the servo wire now comes wrapped in bubble pack.
