OXY5 - Sprag One Way Hub Set
Lynx / Oxy offer spare bag for OXY 5 HF and upgrade for Standard OXY 5 Heli Kit.
The new Heavy Duty OXY5 one way features a massive sprag clutch with a 14mm sleeve supported by a bearing on each end to provide the smoothest autorotation and engagement that can handle the strongest power systems on the market. This system was designed to handle 100% more torque than the standard roller bearing system.
This one way will be included with the OXY5 HF kit and Nitroxy5. Also available as an optional upgrade for the standard OXY5.

I bought this OWB to replace the stock one in my OXY 5.This OWB is one Robust unit and probably last the life of the helicopter. A bit pricey but worth it. No other parts are needed to change over from the stock OWB.
I upgraded after the original broke. Does not free wheel as much as the original. However from my experience with sprague bearings, this will last a lot longer.
I own two oxy 5’s and both have this updated sprag gear on them. The newer one has 20t while the original version had 18t (which failed on me) oxy sent me the new one with 20t and it works perfect, so I bought another one for my Meg.
My Oxy 5 standard one way was fine... until I decided to up the HS a little. I was mostly flying at about 2220 and a few times at 2470- not flying it really hard. Then decided to wring it out a little at 2470 (which is really not that high) and that's when the stock one-way locked up. Luckily it unlocked before I had a crash.
Decided the Sprag one way upgrade was going to be necessary.
After about 12 flights now, it's held up great. The only thing I notice is that there's more drag on the main shaft so autorotations are not going to be it's strength. That said, I don't think too many people buy the Oxy 5 for autos.
All in all it's a great (and IMHO necessary) upgrade if you are flying hard above about 2400.
This is the one-way you want to keep your Oxy5 from falling from the sky.
