ProTune 105 V2 Muffler
Over the decades, RC Helicopters have seen massive changes with the advent of lithium polymer batteries and electronically stabilized rotor heads. We have watched the fall of nitro as well as the current resurgence of nitro. Our goal is to provide a quality product to the nitro community so it can flourish once again.
In late 2016, with 20 years of nitro tuning experience under my belt I set out to design a muffler that would meet all of my desires for a properly tuned exhaust. I saw the need for proper exhaust port matching, improvement in sound, improvement in flow and scavenging, ease of use/maintenance, as well as a fresh stunning appearance. Initially I had trouble finding a factory that could produce the quality I was looking for, this causes substantial delays in testing. After nearly one year in development I have achieve all of these goals and I am proud to bring to market the ProTune Series of mufflers.
One thing is certain, our desire to improve the hobby industry and give our customers the most technologically advanced products will never change.
Inheriting the successful of Protune 105, now we introduce a new version - Protune 105 V2 has many improvements and new features:
- Tuned specifically for the OS105 Engine
- Connection port is matched to the OS105 Engine
- Peak Power RPM Range 15,000-16,000
- Manufactured by 6061 T6 Aluminum tubing
- Polished aluminum finish
- Baffles have been changed to allow for increased flow and top end output

this pipe was designed beautifully and looks the part and definitely sounds. the part tuning has been easy
I’ve noticed more power and clear recovery from different transition maneuvers with this new muffler with the redesign of the baffles. I’m very pleased with Matt Botos & his Synergy products and designs.
I haven't installed it or used it yet but from what I can tell, it all looks the same as v1 without the dimple at the front of the muffler. I would imagine the guts are different though. Something had to change to make it a v2.
The pipe is smooth, and the power transfer is strong throughout the whole range. I can’t tell the difference between my hatori and the Protune V2! FINALY! a pipe that is just as good as the hatori, that is in stock!!
I placed my first order with Helidirect and they had what I wanted in stock, the shipping was fast and this makes me happy, I hate waiting for orders. Thank you
I like the sound of this pipe. I also think it makes engine rpm stays on my setup pretty perfect.
