I know many people are going ELRS now but I've been using Crossfire for a few years and the range is amazing. 2.4GHz just can't compare to 900MHz for long distance. I've never lost a radio link when using Crossfire. A few things to be aware of though. Be sure to use Agent M (browser based) or the Lua script in your radio to setup. Agent X has problems. Also, update all your receivers whenever you update the transmitter module.
I had a transmitter module fail after 2½ years and TBS sent me a replacement. I only had to pay for shipping. So their customer service is amazing!
Quick service. Definitely going use again.
This was one of my best purchases. It was super easy to set up. I get awesome range with this. Would definitely recommend this to friends.
I have a question does it work with the x9d plus?? thanks
Great System!! Coming from Immersion I have to say this system is way more user friendly, intuitive, and pretty darn easy to setup. Helidirect shipped fast!
This is the device I wanted.
Awesome
Can’t go wrong with tbs crossfire.
I’ve used xm+ with my qx7s radio until now. Crossfire is my go to now. Bit more money but we’ll worth it for its simple set up/bind and range. Toughest part was installing the chip in the radio but there’s a lot of easy to follow tutorials on the web. Definitely recommend the TBS Crossfire Micro TX V2 Starter Set
I did not need all 3 Nanos, but can't beat it for the cost. Also pleased to see it included the Taranis upgrade board. Great communication for Helidirect during USPS slowdowns. Thanks!
Crossfire is a solid performer and this set is a great way to get a deal. With the advent of ELRS, there certainly is some competition, but TBS still has the lead with build quality, easy of setup, and performance. Wish I could use all 12 channels without taking a latency hit, but so be it. Overall, the kit is a great way to get started. Great shipping and service from Helidirect. I'm a big fan of them and only wish they carried more FPV gear. Can you guys start a side business called FPVdirect.com ;)
