TBS Mambo - FPV RC Radio Drone Controller
A class on its own
Team BlackSheep has redefined the portable remote control with the TBS Tango 2. Now we're back with one of the most popular requests: a compact full-size remote! The TBS Mambo follows in the footsteps, but focuses on all of the things the Tango 2 tries not to have: a larger screen, traditional form factor with switches and potentiometers, JR module bay, replaceable batteries and trim buttons!
But do not fear: we haven't made a cookie-cutter remote! With the built-in antenna (external antenna available as optional add-on), the 2-position and momentary gamepad buttons, and TBS Tracer built-in, we've accomplished a few "firsts" that put this radio into a class on its own!
Tracer inside
The first radio with TBS Tracer built in. And it fits your existing TBS Crossfire module through the JR bay! TBS Tracer is the world's lowest latency radio link, and builds upon the rock-solid reputation of the TBS Crossfire code base. With the continued development and expansion of the TBS ecosystem, pilots will remain on the bleeding edge of capabilities paired with the ease of use and overall robustness that TBS products are known for.

I was able to use the pre loaded version of freedomTX with all my of expressLRS stuff and everything else I tried. No issues there. The CALIBRATION! I literally spent a couple days trying to get the throttle stick to go up and down without creating anything on the yaw axis... its not spring loaded to moving it perfectly straight is easy. The calibration is a PAIN. Out of the box my battery door did not open either ; ) I had to do take apart the radio straight after opening just to put cells in! This thing is a phenomenal unit at this price though. Really is a great radio. Recording sounds in reaper with a microphone and putting them in for channels is a lot of fun!
It's a pretty good radio.. feels good in the hands and not too big or small
What can I say its TBS. Their brand speaks for itself Great build quality and it works as expected , great ....
Love this radio, such a big improvement over my 10yr old x9d+ in size and weight. Really wanted to give 5 stars for the looks, feel and performance but out of the box I broke the battery door trying to give it open. Not sure why? But it is well worth the cost.
Have been using for a couple weeks now and has everything I need. Internal tracer is nice and added an ELRS module in the bay which makes for great combo for all my quads
I tried a couple of radio. I used a Tango 2 for about a year. I was really happy with that radio. I wanted to Tracer so what better way to try it. So Mambo it is. It’s taking a little bit to get used to it coming from the Tango 2 but I’m getting there. Im happy with my choice.
Okay the gimbals are very nice, I love the size of the controller and binding should be easy, the only issue I have is that it simply won’t bind. I don’t know what’s wrong but I updated it correctly and everything worked until I tried binding it. So I click bind, then it binds, then it says update micro RX then I updated it, updating it works fine. But then when it’s done updating it just doesn’t bind. I think my mambo could just be defective but im sure of the issue.
It's my first full size radio and I love it! Flying a lot more stable
can you send me one
I have used this tx for a couple weeks and really like it. I bought a couple 18650 batteries and they last quite a while. I like how smooth the gimbals are.I am also using an ELRS module with this tx.
