It differs from other buffer solutions in that it has no self-consumption when switched off, which means \u003cbr\u003ethat the battery can remain permanently connected. Furthermore, you can use a battery of any size with a voltage of 5.0V to \u003cbr\u003e13.2V, making it suitable for the smallest helicopters or airplanes as well as for large models. The BattSwitch comes as a pure \u003cbr\u003ecircuit board and therefore as a kit. Any connectors (e.g. XT30, XT60, XT90, Deans, gold connectors...) or cables can be soldered \u003cbr\u003eto the input and output.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBEC voltage and battery must be selected to match each other. We recommend setting the BEC slightly lower than the end-of\u003cbr\u003echarge voltage of the battery.  \u003cbr\u003eExamples: \u003cbr\u003eBEC voltage 8.0V-8.2V with use of 2S Lipo. \u003cbr\u003eBEC voltage 12.0V-12.2V when using 3S Lipo. \u003cbr\u003eBEC voltage 7.0V-7.1V when using 2s LiFe.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe battery does not need to be recharged after every flight, as it is kept at the set BEC voltage by the BattSwitch. It has no undervoltage detection, which means that the battery can become permanently over-discharged if it is not \u003cbr\u003eswitched off. This is because the operational safety of the receiving system is paramount. In the event of a failure of the main \u003cbr\u003epower supply, the buffer battery should maintain safe operation for as long as possible and thus ensure a safe landing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOvercurrent:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e The BattSwitch has no overcurrent limitation for the above-mentioned reason. It can be loaded with 30A, making it suitable for \u003cbr\u003elarge models and current-hungry servos. Make sure that the connected battery is full or has approximately the same voltage as \u003cbr\u003ethe BEC when switching on. If an empty battery is connected, it will be charged quickly with the maximum BEC current. Our \u003cbr\u003eBECs and the BattSwitch can handle this, but most smaller buffer batteries cannot.
