I find this tool to be too small to be effective. It does not seem to have enough force to remove even the small ball links and does not fit on them very well.

I mean, they are necessary to pop the links off without possibly damaging the links. Do you absolutly need them to do it, no, but it does make repairs alot easier

Only for disconnect. cant be used to connect. mostly useless in tight places. bad design.

I am disappointed by this plyer, it can only be used to disconnect the ball link, not to reconnect them. Despite its small size it requires the ball link to be relatively accessible, the pin on the top jaw seems too long. The design needs improving, it is definitely too expensive for a tool that has limited utility. I would return it but it is going to cost me almost as much as the plyer...
