Beautiful item. Flies great. But adversed as a special heli but comes in parts you have to construct.

GREAT HELICOPTER!

The helicopter flys perfect out of the box, this is a qaulity made helicopter for the money! Helidirect gave me two free extra batteries and fast delivery. If your looking at this helicopter and thinking about wheather to buy, stop thinking and buy it!

Flies Great & It's Easy on the Wallet

I bought this little heli based upon all the good reviews it has. When it arrived I was impressed by the quality of it and how easy it was to bind to my Futaba 14SG TX. Once I set up up my TX to fly and bound it to the Legend S2 I took it out the very next day for its maiden flight. I was pleasantly surprised at how stable it was and how comfortable I felt with it in the air. After a couple minutes of hovering in different orientations I flew it around in some circles and figure eights. It felt so stable and easy to fly, mind you I was in normal mode, but it felt really good to fly it around with ease. I ordered up some more Pulse 850mah packs so I have 5 packs in total now. I took it out and flew 3 packs through it in normal mode with some basic sport flying. I took the other two packs and flew it in idle up 1 for a little more aggressive sport flying. I do have to say idle up mode definately gets the little heli moving faster and it could easily get out of control for a beginner pilot. If your thinking of getting this to start out with, I highly reccommend you get a sim and practice for at least a few weeks then keep it in normal mode while you master the basic hovering orientations. Then try flying it around for some basic circle circuits. A bigger heli is going to be more stable, but costs more to buy and repair. With the new tech for helis having stabilization, auto correction, and bailout; a beginner can go with these micro helis, but keep it in stabilization mode or normal mode until they are more experienced and ready to try it without stabilization. It wouldn't hurt to get an instructor or an experienced friend to assist with the learning curve.

For experienced pilots this little heli will be a lot of fun and not too tough on the wallet. I like it and it's a nice addition to the collection.

Great little heli!

This thing is awesome! I'm currently flying this in my house and its stupid fun. Had a slight drifting issue but after finding and printing off the manual it was easy to resolve.

Great micro heli!!!

This is my first heli ever, and I must say that I’m pleasantly surprised at the quality, power, and response for the package. It pretty much was ready to go out of the box, and flies wonderfully.

That said, “out of the box” is something of a misnomer. I come from a fixed wing background of BNF planes, which usually have some sort of manual with suggested settings. The Goosky had absolutely NO manuals in the packaging. I was able to find the manual online at the manufacturer’s website, as well as information that there was a Bluetooth app for tuning the heli’s parameters, but even that neglected to mention there was an iPhone version - the website only mentioned an Android version.

The other thing that tweaks me is that there are really only 2 batteries in existence that fit into this bird - the Goosky 750 mah batteries at $13.50/battery, or the Pulse 700 mah batteries at $15/battery. I’d prefer to have a couple of choices on where I can get batteries and brands, or else I’m at the mercy of the manufacturer.

Still, even with those two “cons”, this is an excellent heli. Plenty of response, snappy, and everything feels beefy. And, if you break a part, parts are relatively cheap compared to the larger 700 series helis. It’s a great starter, and something I can grow with and continue to fly for years without breaking my pocketbook.

Just be aware that it does NOT come with extra blades like some YouTube reviewers have mentioned, and it only comes with ONE battery, not 2-3 batteries like some reviewers have shown.

Would I recommend it for a first time heli pilot? Yes - with the caveat that this is a great first RC HELICOPTER. It is in no way, shape, or means a first RC AIRCRAFT. It takes skill on the sticks, and if you are looking to learn to fly a heli, invest in a simulator like AccuRC, or Heli-X, or Realflight 9.5 or Aerofly RC8/9 - and invest in either the dedicated controller or a USB wireless dongle to fly. While this heli was $349 on sale for me, the $130 for the simulator has saved me thousands in repairs already by offering practice.

What a heli!

Fairly new to this hobby. But I have flown a few helps. This is the best flying heli for me that I have flown. I have a 500 size but bought the Goosky for training before try the big one. Can’t stop flying the Goosky. Very stable. I bought this one for my 15 year old son. He has no issues at all and flies it more than the Trex 450. Very pleased with this product and the service that I received at Helidirect.
