Goosky Legend S1 Helicopter (RTF - Mode2) - Green

I recently purchased a Goosky S1 helicopter from Helidirect, and unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. Right out of the box, the helicopter was faulty. The tail started drifting whenever I increased the motor speed, making it impossible to control.

Initially, I suspected the tail itself might be the issue, so I replaced it, but the problem persisted. After further investigation, I discovered that the ESC board seemed to be malfunctioning. As the motor speed increased, it became clear that the tail wasn’t receiving enough power to keep up, resulting in consistent drift. It could be either the ESC board or the main motor causing this issue.

I even recorded videos of the problem and reached out to Helidirect’s customer service twice. Unfortunately, they failed to respond or offer any solution. Given that the helicopter was clearly defective, I expected better support from Helidirect. Instead, I’m left with a product I can’t use and money wasted.

Overall, this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend the Goosky S1 or Helidirect’s customer service based on this. Save your time and money.

This little helicopter is amazing. Perfect for a first time helicopter pilot. I spent a few hours practicing using a simulator on my computer, and when I finally received this little helicopter, I was able to takeoff hover in place and land without any issues. It’s perfect for flying in the park or around your house (provided you have enough room) without worrying about causing any major damage that a larger helicopter might inflict in the event of a crash. Replacement parts are super cheap making this a great tool to learn how to fly RC helicopters flight times are about four minutes per battery. If you have a radio master transmitter or FRsky with the multi protocol module, you can easily bind this to your transmitter. There are plenty of instructions on how to configure these radios to work with the S1. Definitely recommended for the price point, the cheap replacement parts and the fact that in the event of a crash, it’s still a very durable machine.

I decided to learn how to fly CP helis and decided on Goosky after reading many reviews. The S1 is perfect me for a few reasons; decent durability, surprisingly stable flight, and livery customization. The little bird is easy enough to work on, although I've needed to learn a few tricks for how to effectively hold and work on it. I'm not counting flights, but I've had enough crashes being bold to warrant a deeper disassemble and checking on feathering shaft, main shaft, etc. She is surprisingly stable, but of course it's still a small heli so it can whip around and I have to be conscientious and be deliberate in my stick movements to make it fly in a controlled manner.

The RTF was nice initially. I bought a Radiomaster TX16S at the same time and needed to learn the radio, so having the RTF TX allowed me to fly while I learned how to set up the TX16S. The livery and accessory color options are great so far, and maybe they will add some red tail blades and landing gear in the future so I can match my S2...yes, the S1 was gateway for me and I bought the S2 a couple weeks after.

This is machined with high precision CNC parts and it feels like I’m flying a 700 size helicopter. It flies extremely well in the wind and better than I expected for a small helicopter!! I have been flying this every day and enjoy it each time.

First collective pitch helicopter and I am so happy with the Goosky S1. Fun to fly, stable and built well. Thank you Helidirect for a simple order process and reasonable shipping time.

The Goosky S1 is an engineering masterpiece in heli design. Far superior to Blade products. The S1 is direct drive - NO GEARS! The canopy is made of strong plastic instead of that flimsy stuff that Blade uses to generate cash flow. The S1 is powerful, adjustable and less expensive than the competition.
