Super impressed with how well it flies, especially the tail performance! Handles small crashes well, but will break like any heli if it hits hard.
For a small helicopter it performs very well. Lots of fun to fly.
This little guy flew right out of the box, amazing technology wrapped up in a great flying mini heli
This is the third S1 I've bought. It's already gone. My first was bought used and had issues with the tail connector at the ESC board, which resulted in a catastrophic crash. I lost the last two when the wind pushed them too far to tell which direction they were facing and accidentally sent them out into the tree tops. If you're feeling ambitious maybe get a bigger one thats easier to see. If you plan on keeping it in the yard, just be aware there is no telemetry and no visible way to determine battery level in flight if it's more than 5 feet away, and you have no clear view of the (tiny) indicator light through the little slot in the top of the canopy. Additionally, the tail boom is subject to fractures and snapping in half with little stress, so buy more of those (more than you think youll need). Is it cool? Yes, it is. But having owned $600 worth (3) in the last two months, and having none right now, I'd say far from perfect.
I got this heli after tipping my Raw 420C over and breaking the blades. I saw how tough this little guy is and figured I'd give it a try. It's a little fidgety, but not that hard to fly. It hit the ground hard due to some bad settings and it only bent the canopy mounts and tail boom. I straightened them up and went right back to flying. Then I got it too high and lost depth perception. It "landed" in the top of a 100+ ft pine tree and hit several limbs on the way down. The links for the blade grips came off, and after popping them back on I went back to flying. I bought spare parts, but haven't needed them yet even with its rough life so far. Heli Direct is also great to deal with. I'm very happy all around.
Great machine. Came fast.
Your customer service is second to none! Thank you.
I like having a small heli to fly around my house. I’ve been flying a McPX, but decided to try something different. The Goosky S1 is Awesome! The build quality is excellent. It’s not built will all plastic parts, therefore it’s much more stable, and flies well in light wind conditions.
I'm just learning HR helicopters. I must admit I'm having a hard time with Goosky products. I started with Legend S2 but couldn't manage to make it fly. Kept crashing. I have been unable to find many instructions on radio use and set up that are simple. So I purchased the S1 thinking it would be easier. I've had to replace the tail boom twice and the ESC board once. I still haven't had a successful flight. I used the radio that came with my S2 but only recently realized the battery wasn't charging so I had to purchase an external charger for the radio battery. I'll keep flying and crashing. Maybe I got in over my head.
Nice designed and I like it so far
