Robust Flight Control
The H1 Flight Controller provides the most cost-effective solution for the stability of your RC helicopter. This flybarless flight controller has robust electronic shielding, reliable GPS connectivity, and extensive programming instructions.
FW450L-V3 ensures safe flying with built-in compasses in the controller and GPS. The latest U-blox4 chip from Switzerland powers the GPS module. FW450L-V3 supports core navigation satellite systems, which include GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BeiDou.
FW450-V3 is able to detect up to 31 satellites, which guarantees positional accuracy and provides a stable hover.
One-key Return
Emergency situations during flight can be difficult to avoid, which is why a smart return function is a valuable tool for users of all levels. Simply flip the Home switch to initiate a return when the helicopter is lost. It will automatically fly back to the transmitter's location in case of a low battery or a lost transmitter.
If you feel like your helicopter is getting out of control while in 3D flight mode, flip the switch to change to GPS flight mode for an immediate stop and hover. If the helicopter is upside down, it will hover inverted, saving valuable time and preventing a larger accident.
Carbon Firber Frame
The aviation-grade material used in the helicopter boasts excellent toughness, resisting distortion and reducing damage risk. This allows the helicopter to handle complex aerobatic flights with ease.
16-24V High-Power Brushless Motor and 60A ESC
Traditional “brushed” electric motors offer short run times and limited power. The friction from the contact of brushes and the spinning commutator reduces power and causes wear, eventually requiring brush replacement.
"Brushless" motors eliminate these inefficiencies and have longer lifespan. The FW450L-V3's 2816 large brushless motor, powered by 16V higher voltage (supports up to 6S 24V), provides more power and efficiency than the 2221 motor used by other 450L RC helicopters.
It features a 60A all-metal helicopter ESC, providing precise power transfer and enabling fast response during intense 3D flight. This results in high power output and limitless aerobatics. Support up to 6s LiPo battery.
DFC Design Main Rotor Head
With a Flybarless (FBL) rotor head, similar to that found in 700L RC helicopters, Fly Wing boasts impressive stability. Its Direct Flight Control (DFC) rotor head structure has a low center of gravity and low drag, resulting in more accurate, direct, and quick flight response, and ease of maintenance.

I usually have problems seeing smaller helis but I have the orange and it shows up great. I really like the case that holds everything together in one place. It is super handy to throw in your car for a lunchtime flight or two. The heli flew great right out of the box and so far I'm loving it.

So far after I ran the calibration routine at the field, the FW450 has performed great, but my flying buddy’s FW450 after about a dozen flights lost its calibration. We recalibrated it, but after taking off into a hover he gave it a control input and it went bonkers and flew off to the left sideways. He tried to control it but it wasn’t responding and it ended up wiping out into the ground. This happened to him for a second time. He tried switching out of GPS to 3D mode but it still didn’t respond. We suspect the issue may be the GPS unit but we need to troubleshoot it further. He lost confidence in his and may never fly his again. Replacing the H1 unit costs $250- not worth it as it’s half the cost of the heli.
I will continue to fly mine and see how it plays out. Another flying member has a HW450 V3 also. We will see how his performs in the long run.

I'd been out of the RC heli hobby for almost 10 years due to medical issues (last heli was a Goblin 770). After several years a great medical treatment I've had the opportunity to get back into the hobby. I felt I needed to start all over again since it had been such a long span flying anything. I ordered a Goosky S2 and the FW 450L V3 to get my finger muscle memory back into action while building a Kraken 580 and RAW 700. The FW 450L V3 (orange color) is great for retuning the fingers (muscle memory). The GPS was only used for the first couple flights then it was back to full control. As a very mild 3D flier myself this little heli was a perfect reintroduction to flying helis. One of the extra 4S 5000mAh batteries I ordered was dead on arrival. Helidirect made it right and sent me a replacement right away (thank you David). I highly recommend this heli for any beginner or like me, someone getting back into the hobby.
