SAB Antartica KR175 Drake Jet Kit
SAB Antartica K175 Drake - Multirole Turbine Madeness.
Menacing in form with a radical airframe design, SAB Avio wiped the slate clean, summoning forth one of the most revolutionary jet designs seen in the skies today.
Pulled from the saga of "Antartica," the K175 Drake is envisioned as a multirole fighter - craving the opportunity to devastate the adversary in epic all out war. Featuring a weathered, pre-painted, high visibility paint scheme, the detail and design of the Drake is stunning in form, with incredible functionality that is visible all throughout this impressive machine.
Utilizing an aggressive aft wing layout with functional forward canards, the K175 Drake is ultra agile, offering exceptional levels of maneuverability & speed. Capable of incredible levels of high alpha / high angle of attack flight, the aft wing layout offers generous surface area, with wing root extensions that further aid low speed control.
Featuring thrust vectoring for unearthly levels of control, the Drake offers a full 30 degrees of thrust vectoring deflection, opening up new realms of turbine powered maneuverability. Paired with a forward canard layout with a low wing loading design, the SAB Drake is a potent 3D machine that has been designed to push the boundaries of fixed wing flight.
Designed for ease of transport and setup, the Drake features an easy to access single knob style wing attachments, offering an ultra easy, ultra secure wing attachment system. Further this with multiple access panels for turbine & electronics access, SAB designed the Drake to be easy to setup and maintain, allowing more time to fly and less time on the ground.
Step into the future of RC jet flight with the all new SAB Antartica Drake - ARF brilliance with looks ready to kill.

High angle thrust vectoring
Vector allow a deviation of the flow untill 30° angle. Made in INOX, with TIG welds, completely in metal. Coaxial to the gas turbine outlet pipe, it has a direct response, with no dead zone. The precision is maximum.
Easy wing connection
The main carbon tube is 30 mm in diameter, for high rigidity.
A simple knob, in landing gear area, allows a quick assembly and disassembly of the wing. The wings are compact and easy to carry out.
High performance and wide flight envelope, high speed or 3D
Delta conformation was tested and optimized for all flight conditions. Agile, stable and fast. Fun is guaranteed.
Easy access to all components
The project, paying attention to the various solutions, defines an excellent access to all the components.
At the rear, a further cover above the turbine ,guarantees total accessibility and ease of removal.
On the front side, under the canopy, there are large component panels for an ordered installation.
Conformal and removable fuel tank
With the simple removal of three screws, the tank can be removed quickly and easily. Every maintenance and verification is extremely simple.
In this model, the tank is load-bearing and an integral part of the fuselage

Quality of Fiberglass is as good or possibly better than the Composite ARF / BVM jets in my opinion, parts all bagged according to the step you are on, was confused about Canard servo installation but SAB Italy and a good friend got me squared away. Had Lizard before and at times had trouble seeing it, size and the orange color with the invasion stripes should make it easier to see. Starting off with a SW 120 for power and watching a bunch of Michael Wargo YouTube videos to develop my skills more over the winter to go for big power when the time is right. Could not be happier, what dreams are made off, this and my new T-bucket.
High quality kit. Easy build. Color scheme stands out in all sky conditions. Really stable in low speed high alpha flying. I have a 160 engine in mine and is more than enough for regular sport type flying and still provides high speed flight. Go with a 210 or 220 engine if you plan on doing 3D. Gets a lot of positive comments at events.
Two caveats, set the CG at least one (1) inch further aft than what the manual shows (mine is set at 1 7/8 inch further aft) which gets the airplane just slightly nose heavy and use a gyro as without a gyro the plane is flyable but very agile.
I consider this the Lizaed”s big brother. Much like the Lizard, the fit and finish is second to NONE! Highly recommended!
Great quality airframe. The manual is precise and the measurements given there are 99% accurate. All components fit perfectly without any modification required. For someone that isn’t an experienced builder - This jet is one of the easiest to build.
Great fit and finish, very well made. I was on the fence about getting this but am really glad I did! I thought the T-1 was a great quality kit but SAB went a step above, in the manual, the kit, parts and fit. When I initially purchased this jet I did not realize that it had a matte finish and has the distress work done already. At first I was a little disappointed as a like a shinier finish but I have to admit that the matte looks fantastic!
Just built this jet with the SAB-AVIO retracts/struts/wheels, TORQ servos, and PowerBox Mercury SRS all from HeliDirect. Easy build with a manual that better than any other RC Turbine Jet manual I have seen.
Build materials are top quality and the results are a great flying jet.
