The NEXUS Flybarless (FBL) control unit has been designed from the ground up based on the Rotorflight 2.0 reference design. All aspects of the NEXUS have been planned and tested for optimum performance and compatibility, ensuring the best out-of-the-box Rotorflight experience on the market today.
With its advanced STM32F722 MCU and the TDK ICM-42688-P 6-axis MEMS motion tracking device, which combines a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer, the NEXUS flight controller ensures precision control and flight. A large 128Mb of onboard flash memory ensures you can log all your flights for fine-tuning and adjustment.
Our Plug'n'Play solder-free RP3-H ExpressLRS receivers feature a locking connector system to ensure a stable connection between the control unit and receiver. DSM and S.BUS ports are also available for use with your selected receiver type. The NEXUS also features multi-function ports for future expansion.
The NEXUS features a CNC machined aluminum case as standard, which looks great, protects the control unit, and dissipates heat for the F722 processor.
After more than 12 months of R&D, the NEXUS has been tested, tuned, and tested again by not only the developers at Rotorflight but also a team of experienced helicopter pilots who took part in our beta testing program. We would like to thank the Rotorflight team and the Beta testing team for making the NEXUS possible!

Works great, excellent help on Discord!
Ok I was using ikon since the flybarless days am old school enough to remember flybars. Anyway watched a lot of videos and still working to set up.
If your esc does not have dedicated RPM wire you will need to get one if plan to use governor or have head speed in your telemetry.
Lot of info and help on discord
I put this on old blad 450x as test bed. Several people using steam 420 as test bed for there’s. It will work with several receivers but lots of people love the ELRS protocol. I bought the ranger module for my tx16 that has the 4n1 internal
This is a great FBL and works very well when paired with the RP3-H Receiver. Great combination but several more after testing the first one. Highly recommend as the price is great compared to most other FBL.
Connection and initial setup went without a hitch, comes with all the wires you could need. Rotorflight is a beast to learn, but the tutorial website and discord group are excellent!
Switching all my 580 & 700 Heli’s to Nexus & Radiomaster TX-16S. Also works great in Goosky RS-4 Venom & Raw 420DD!
I have been an open source advocate for a long time. So this really peaked my interest to give it a shot. The learning curve is a bit steep, but the community that has already gathered around this tech is amazing. Do not be ticked by the price tag, this is a very premium unit.
Great FBL. Will buy another one sometime for my next project.
Brought this and installed it on my RAW 420 recently. I have owned all sorts of different brand of FBL in the past, vbar, ikon, spirit, axon and etc. This nexus one is definitely among the best that I have used, especially considered the price point. The unit is well made and it flies great.
The downside, at least to me, is: it is not the easiest one to setup since it has tons of parameters and options that you can choose from and tune. If you are familiar with Betaflight for FPV then you probably won't have any problem using Rotorflight to setup it. Fortunately, there are good video instructions on youtube that you can check out and learn (very detailed, hours longs of video...).
I bundle it with FrSky R9MM-OTA RX and Hobbywing 60A V4 ESC. They work great together with all telemetry information transferred to my TX. It is not as plug-n-play as the radiomaster's rx. But the Nexus FBL unit comes with a few extra UART pigtail connector that you can create custom cable to your ESC and RX pretty easily.
I just flew the Nexus Flight controller in my old HK450 helicopter with my Spektrum Dx7 tx and was shocked how well the helicopter flew! I had to spend some time understanding how to set things up, but I'm so happy I did, now the potential is amazing. Is kind of like having a tx that runs on OpenTX or EdgeTX, their is a big learning curving and also a big reward if you put in the effort
