Essential parts

Keep spares, you don’t get new nylon nuts as part of buying a few boom

If you fly Goblin Helis, sooner or later you are going to put one in. Thankfully the SAB Tail Boom design for every heli they make use these Nylon ""Sacrificial"" Nuts and Bolts to attach the boom to the body. When you crash if the boom hits the ground first, the nylon bolts will pop. Giving up their lives so your boom can fly again.

Odds are you won't loose the nut(s) because they are sitting below the FLB unit's mounting plate. But sometimes it's hard to extract what's left of the bolt's shaft from the nut. At least not without the right tools to get it out meaning that it'll probably be easier to salvage the nut(s) when you get home. So keep a couple of spares in your field crash kit. If all you damaged in the crash are the nylon pieces, you can loosen your tail case putting slack in your tail belt for re-assembly, lift the FBL mounting plate, re-attach the boom, remount the FBL mounting plate, re-tension the tail belt and you should be good to go. Please note that the FBL mounting plate is designed to be removable without pulling the FBL unit, which really simplifies the repair process and you don't waste any vibration damping double stick tape.

Odds are you can have your Goblin back in the air within about 15 to 20 minutes and you'll have more air time at the field. I've done it. On my Goblin 500 and my 380. Keep some spares around. You won't regret the minor investment.
