The TRAX Frame Bender NXT is hands-down one of the best micro crawler obstacles I’ve run across for 1/24 scale rigs. Whether you're crawling indoors or setting up a scale trail in your backyard, this piece adds a whole new level of challenge and realism.
Build Quality & Materials:
Right away, you can tell this isn't just a cheap piece of plastic. The TRAX Frame Bender NXT is solidly built with heavy-duty composite and reinforced joints. The surface has great texture — it grips tire treads well, even the tiny lugs on stock SCX24s or FCX24s. The durability is spot-on for repeated abuse from high-torque setups.
Design & Functionality:
This obstacle lives up to its name. The articulation points and angled rollers force your suspension to work hard. It’ll twist your frame in ways that test every link, servo, and bit of weight distribution. The bends are tight and unforgiving — exactly what you want for a training tool or comp-style course.
It’s compact enough for a small indoor track but still scales nicely with other terrain pieces. The modular design means you can pair it with ramps, rock piles, or bridges to create custom lines.
Performance:
I tested it with an SCX24 Gladiator, a modded Deadbolt, and the new TRX-4M Bronco. All three rigs were challenged differently, which says a lot about the balance of this obstacle. It's great for working on slow throttle control, articulation, and body shift.
Final Verdict:
If you're into 1/24 scale crawling and want to push your rig to the limit without needing a huge course, the TRAX Frame Bender NXT is a must-have. It’s rugged, fun, and will absolutely reveal the strengths (and weaknesses) of your setup. For the price, you’re getting a competition-grade obstacle that can hold up to serious crawling.
Rating: 10/10 – A micro crawler essential.
Amazing product again! The drop in this obstacle is insane without flex, but you have high chances of tipping on it with to much flex. Another killer obstacle!
