I ordered this canopy to replace my original on my T-Rex 450L. The canopy is bright And help with orientation while flying. Fits my 450L well.
I used this canopy to replace the smaller canopy of my TREX 450 Pro clone. To avoid drilling new holes in the pre-drilled canopy, I fab'd a mount by cutting a triangle of thick black plastic and used 3 - 2.5mm offsets to secure the mount to the Heli. Then I drilled a hole in the mount in the exact location to place the canopy posts. I secured the posts with 2.5 mm nuts. Now, the canopy fits like a glove. I love the superior visibility in the air. Sure, my heli isn't a 450L. I don't care. HeliDirect packaging and shipping were both excellent.
Ordered this canopy for my 450L. Helidirect shipped it right out and it arrived safe and sound. This is my go to Heli store!!
This canopy is very bright and easy to see in flight - especially the yellow front which is great to keep orientation. The canopy fits the 450L perfectly if the battery is mounted with the wires to the rear and connected to the ESC from the side. It would not fit properly with the battery mounted with wires to the front - it was too tight and the canopy is prone to cracks near the top corner. Overall the new shape and colors are excellent and an improvement over the older green 450L canopy.
