Align 500X Painted Canopy

The kit I purchased contained a canopy that was grossly deformed. Customer service requested photos which I provided. Their response was to pack it full to push it out and use a heat gun to soften it. Only problem, no matter how good it looked and no matter how many times I tried it would always go back. The customer service agent stated they travel a long way and it’s not unusual for them to distort in transit and to keep trying…? Well after getting nowhere I finally broke down and ordered one. Needless to say it was packed very carefully and arrived in perfect condition. My question, it came from the same factory and traveled the same distance. Why wasn’t it distorted too? Why were they so pig headed about it? Why didn’t HeliDirect just replace it under warranty?
This will be the last time I buy a kit from these guys…

Beautiful canopy - everything you would expect - that is well packaged. I'm using this on an Align TREX 500L and it fits perfectly. Includes the rubber grommets.

Note the 500L and the 500X canopy mounting posts do not have a pre-drilled hole for an "R" pin the way the 700 size helis do, but it does have 4 mounting points and seems to be a very snug fit without damage.

There is also an overhang lip at the bottom of the canopy that mounts over the base of the model.

At the top, there is plenty of cleararance for servo arms and server-swashplate connector arms - no need to modify the canopy to accommodate servo arms.

Looks great and a perfect fit, even on a 500L

Replaces original damaged by stopping suddenly.
