Since purchasing my first Roban scale heli in 2014, I’ve always followed the recommended motor purchase which ended up in me having a whole tub of Scorpion, undersized motors now. Most all supersize 700 and 800 ships MGW ends up between 17-22 lbs depending on your build choice. I have finally found the flight combination with this motor. ESC usage has changed over the years as well, but the large can and torque is settled. I live in AZ and have flown them in summer temps without slinging a magnet or scalding my hand after a flight. I use 6.5 mm bullets for energy transference and it too helps in keeping things cool. Change your pulley to a 20 tooth in you ship and you too will be happy with the choice.
Excited to fly this in my new SAB RAW 700.
