Beautiful helicopter that looks very well made. Can't wait to fly it in a little warmer weather. Currently adding details as a pilot and weapons.
Iβve had a couple helicopters over my years never GPS one. Iβve had a GPS drone, which is similar to this. The drones stability is a lot better. This flies like drones did when they first came out. Now it does fly good. It has good power in GPS mode and in non GPS mode it is fairly easy to get up and down get out around and if you get all turned around or something happens, just Lego sticks and it writes itself
It's awesome, flown it everyday since I received it a couple weeks ago and love it. Tried learning on a blade 230s and 330s and spent more time repairing them than flying, very frustrating. The GPS locked in heli is great
Very nice helicopter, you will not be disappointed
Just received my Airwolf and it fly's very easy ! Also flew my friends Bell 206 with 25 mph winds with no problem ! Good copters !
Great product and customer service
Besides being back ordered for months, I finally received it. The rotor head seemed stiff but I assumed due to it being new. After the maiden, there was rubber belt dust all throughout the motor windings. The rotor head and belt seemed more bound up.
I disassembled, blew the dust out, and noticed the belt tensioner pully was over way tightened and completely bound up, no rotation at all so the belt was gliding over the pulley with complete friction.
I loosened the pulley screw and got it turning again. Careful examination revealed no damage to the belt. I reassembled, the rotor head rotates fairly smoothly and it flies great now.
Just be aware as others have mentioned belt issues. FlyWings quality issues, weren't insurmountable for me, I have experience, but this will be a problem for newbies and resellers. I would also say more diligent maintenance is a given. If FlyWing upgrades this to a V3 or V4 gear module, my comments would become moot but until then I would recommend this as a second or third heli, not a first.
By far my favorite of the Flywing scale collection...and all the excitement I felt watching Airwolf as a child...This brought back some great memories..Thanks Flywing
I contacted Helidirect about the two missing body screws (I took one off the other side for this photo). Their answer: " it is cosmetic you do not need it, or put it on with double stick tape!" You purchase a copter like this for It's cosmetic features! These screws are very small I would guess about 1/4mm, not the normal size in your spare parts boxes or your local hobby store. The shipment also came with both transmitter right stick knob components off and loose in the packaging. So clearly, either we have poor quality control and/or shipping. Bad form Helidirect!
Just Wow
