The FW450L is a great all around Heli. Its perfect for beginners because the GPS locks the heli into place. Its also very 3D capable with some "safety nets" if needed. Im extremely happy with it - I highly recommend it.
I'm in my early 70's and have been struggling trying to fly a heli for several years. My background is 40 + years of flying airplanes. The Flywing removed all the frustration I've had in the past and my first flights were awesome! Super comfortable and easy. No set up. Flys out of the box. Quality user friendly transmitter. Heli is well built and strong. Flywing technology is impressive. I'm extremely pleased.
This heli is great
Awesome
It’s a great helicopter. The case is awesome. But you should use the quick connect main rotor blades. That way you don’t have to screw them on each time.
I've been flying heli's on and off for many years and what I like about this heli is the stability it provides for those that don't fly heli's every day. I've been out of practice for a while and can easily fly it around with the GPS turned on then turn it off when I feel like doing more with it. With the GPS enabled it feels quite a bit like flying a drone, especially with the way the throttle works where you set the altitude and it stays at the same height. The one negative is that the canopy plastic is somewhat brittle/thin. I accidentally cracked it in a spot the first time I tried removing the cover to insert a battery, but was able to repair with some CA and tape to help reinforce. I'd also advise purchasing a few extra battery plates if you fly with more than the one pack. That will save you some time by having more than one ready-to-go heli pack.
I brought my FW450 with me to SEFF (Southeast Electric Flight Festival in Georgia) this year and several people asked for information on it, especially after I demo'd inverted flight in GPS mode.
