The unit is scaled to be very representative of the actual helicopter. The construction is such that the helicopter appears to be quite stout. The level of detail is sufficient. The flight controller is presetup with the receiver and transmitter to fly the unit in a stable mode a more active mode and return to home mode. I found the flight to be very realistic with the flight controller simulating coordinated turns (e.g. rudder and alerions working in concert). The exterior detail could have been enhanced with inclusion of weapons pods, weapons and various antenna and handrails.
The helicopter comes in well protected packaging that might be used for transportation.
All-in-all this is a nice model with good air presence and flight characteristics.
A significant drawback is that this a very expensive model that most likely should not be flown without some experience with smaller units.
The quality and the scale are improving so much. Thank you Flywing! I will keep supporting you and also helidirect is an amazing company with the best customer service!
This thing was a lot bigger than I expected. It's a lot of fun i'm glad I got it the lights and everything is awesome i think of a longer lasting battery would be nice, but i'm still very happy. I recommend getting one
The maiden flight of the Seahawk… and it absolutely blew me away.
I’ll be honest: after watching other YouTubers, I really don’t think this helicopter has been reviewed properly. This thing flies like a rocket. It’s sporty, super responsive, and looks absolutely incredible in the air. Flywing seriously knocked it out of the park with both the Seahawk and the Jayhawk.
A couple of things to note:
• The horizontal stabilizer is pretty brittle, so be careful during transport because it doesn’t take much to crack it. A little more material or added infill would go a long way in improving its strength. That’s definitely one thing I’d suggest Flywing take a look at.
But overall, this helicopter is an absolute blast. Yes, it’s expensive—but honestly, it feels worth it. The ESC performs great, the new flight controller is solid, and so far I really have no major complaints.
I’ve got videos coming soon of the maiden flight, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it felt like I hit the lottery flying this Seahawk.
