Outstanding helicopter, S1 and S2 rock salad stable flying Well put together

I haven’t flown helicopters for 15 years. I got this to reintegrate myself and learn without large crash costs. I am completely blown away with how stable it is. I used to fly old flybar helicopters and putting this thing in the air was a real treat. Now I want an RS5 ASAP!

This was my first RC helicopter and I am super pleased with it so far. I have a Spektrum transmitter, so I had to mount a satellite receiver on the heli. It was a little bit tricky to find a good place to mount it as the satellite is a bit chunky and there is very little room under the canopy (I wanted the receiver to be hidden/protected under the canopy rather than hanging off the bottom or side of the frame somewhere). I eventually figured out a way to mount it on the front of the ESC just above the battery compartment. Once I had that on, the setup was super simple. I probably have a couple dozen flights on the little guy so far and it's been working flawlessly. So fun!

This is quickly becoming my favorite 200 heli! I’ve had a couple S2 legends, in M2 V3 pro, and this is my overall favorite! The M2 V3 pro comes very close! Out of the three 200s this is the most powerful one that I’ve ever had! I would say the M2 V3 is slightly more floaty than the max, they are probably close in stability, but the max is significantly more powerful than the M2 V3! It’s also probably the heaviest 200 class out there, but the power makes up for it! The M2 V3 is probably more like driving a Porsche, where are the S2 max is probably more like driving a muscle car with a big block and a roots supercharger on it! The one thing that I can say is do the carbon fiber frame upgrade! I feel like it flew better immediately after the frame upgrade, because the carbon fiber is more rigid… the plastic frame breaks like glass, the carbon fiber frame isn’t much better, but I bought two sets of frame sides, and epoxied them together, and this thing can take a crash like a boss now! Probably the toughest Heli I’ve ever had was the S2 legend hands-down, but with the frame mod this is pretty close. I took a 30 foot nose dive straight into the pavement one time., and the frame held up pretty darn good! The other mod that I highly recommend is the micro Heli S2 legend adjustable tail roter holder.. It has a plastic guard on it, that protects the tail motor like a boss! I don’t think I’ve lost a single tail motor, even in the nastiest crash, without micro Heli tail motor extender! It’s worth every penny! The other upgrade that I did to this that I am absolutely in love with is I put a set of carbon fiber, Terex 250 blades on it the align 205mm (205D) blades. To make these work, you have to put two sets of S2 legend blade washers on to shim it, and tighten the bolts a little tighter than you would probably like to, and it works perfectly! The maxes motor has plenty of power to handle these blades, and they make it fly like a bigger Heli, more floaty, and more stable. My only recommendation is to decrease your pitch a little bit, and increase your head speed, and this thing is stable and fast as you know what with these blades on it! I still get roughly the same flight times that I did with the factory blades, and fact the align blades feel lighter than the factory ones! Many people complain that the 205 mm micro Heli blades significantly reduced the flight time, I did not notice that with these. And now I hate flying it any other way! I’m running this with my TX 15, in the Goosky ELRS receiver. With this set up, it is incredibly quick and responsive. Honestly, I hated the idea of this hell for the longest time, because of that stupid plastic frame! Now with my carbon fiber set up, and the 205 mm align blades, I’m absolutely in love with this thing! This Helicopter probably gets more time in the air than any other one that I own, to be completely honest! It gives you a little bit of the best of everything, and parts are cheap, so if you want to try some risky stuff, and end up crashing, it’s not the end of the world… just do yourself a favor and grab this thing, throw the micro Heli tail rotor extender on it, the aligned 205 blades, and the carbon fiber frame and you won’t be disappointed! The other thing that’s awesome about this is you can throw it in the backpack with your transmitter and take it pretty much anywhere!!

This helicopter is awesome, so much fun to fly. Ups delivery in 3 days. No regrets.

My ticket to getting back into flying helicopters after 11 yrs. Been flying fpv drones for about 3 yrs & finally got the urge to get back into rc helicopters. Flies amazing like a bigger heli. Will definitely log more flight hrs before getting stepping up to a 550 size. My last heli was a Trex 700 dominator 11 yrs ago. Definitely brought back my desire to fly rc helis again.

Been flying RC helicopters since the 80's....this is one of the best I've flown. Good flight times also
