Broke 2 of them after 10 minutes of mild use on the ARKtos! The Philips head screws are a joke. They stripped out almost instantly. Don’t waste your money.

Steel drive shafts
Very loose joints, pinions are D shaft and driveshafts are not causing even more slop in drivetrain, and the super tiny Phillips head screws ALL STRIP DURING INSTALLATION and will be a real chore to remove!!!
Would not recommend these!!!!

Decent upgrade but poor quality
I threw these on my arktos 6x6 immediately to swap out the chintzy plastic ones. 2 of my driveshaft pieces were not milled correctly and would not take the screws provided, which are junk to begin with. After stripping out 4 of the provided screws (using the correct size tool to install them) two screws ended up breaking off in the housing. Not looking forward to having to fix that. Better hardware and better manufacturing would solve this. For a $30 upgrade, a little better quality control would be expected. The driveshafts also are not “keyed” to match the axles, they just have round openings to cover a D shaped axle shaft.

Solid Drive Shafts
The drive shafts are well-made and a great upgrade. They have the D shaped cutouts so they have solid connections. I do wish they had hex heads on the screws, instead of phillips head, as they strip easily.

Upgrade must
Plastic shafts will break. Keep these on standby

Nice looking upgrade and so far has remained strong
Easy to install, so far has held up well to some heavy loads, tug of war in competition with a load. So great upgrade IMO.

Steel Drive Shafts
These drive shafts seem to be well made. I was skeptical because their previous cr18p shafts failed on my quickly. But these definitely look and feel stronger. My only complaint is that they’re not hex.
