So, this is kind of a mixed bag. The fan shroud on the interceptor is 3d printed and does not hold up well overtime. It gets hot deforms and gets brittle on the support brackets eventually breaking. It might have been better if it were injection molded or made out of carbon fiber. These options would probably increase the cost of the part and increase production time. On the other hand, being able to 3d print the part if you have a 3d printer makes it an almost disposable piece which you can replace anytime it gets damaged. For me though I could buy several of these for the cost of a 3d printer, but in the end, I'd rather pay a little more and not have to replace the part regularly.
