was unsure of which connector.

I am new to solderless connectors and was unsure of which part# to order. The S6 seemed to fit for my power demands. But then watching videos on installing these connectors. The S7 was always used for demonstration.
The S6 does not have the additional clamp at the rear of the connector which I thought clamped down on the wire insulator. But that does not seem to be the case from what I can gather talking to people that use them. So went with the S6.
And they worked out great.

S6 solderless connectors

I have been using E5 connectors since returning to the hobby. I wasn't really sure on making the switch. Having done so I ended up ordering more to convert my entire setup over and have really been happy.

Great connector . . . . .For the right wire

I really like the RCPROPLUS connectors they are each to plug and unplug. I used them to replace the EC5's i was using. That said I did have a issue.

This is a case of read the description, or in this case the product name. These are designed for 8 gauge wire not 12gauge or even 10gauge wire. All my battery's and ESC's have 12 gauge leads. You can check yours by just looking at the wires it will say right on it what gauge the wire are. The issue is the opening of the connector is to big for 10 or 12 gauge wires, for a good connection you need a tight contact between the wire and the connector plug, As the 10 and 12 gauge wires are smaller there just was not a good contact. I ended up soldering the connectors on to the wire. So much for the solder less part but that's my fault.

So if you have 8 gauge wires then these would be great, or you could use the S5 plugs if you have 10/12 gauge wire. If you are looking to keep a standard size plug for all your leads (my case) and you have smaller wires I would suggest just getting to solder on connectors.

These are great connectors.
