This is a critical part of the Tail Assembly. It's not an expensive part. And without it you can't put your tail back together. So all things considered..... I think it's a good idea to keep one of these in your tail crash kit. You might not break it in a crash but I wouldn't rule out the bolts which hold it in failing, and when they do, you'll have a hell of a time extracting them.
