Use a gear ratio calculator to determine what's the best motor pulley size to match with your main gear to achieve your ideal head speed with the throttle at 80%. Your Motor, ESC, and Batteries will thank you for it.

I just changed over to an Xnova 890kV motor, and this pinion really woke up the model. The little 380 is once again my go to heli! Another SAB quality product.

I bought this pulley to go with the Xnova 3215-930KV 10P EXTREME 3D for Goblin 380 - Tareq Edition Motor because I needed to up the head speed on my Goblin 380. Running a faster head also speeds up the tail which reduces the chance of tail wag while at the same time improving tail authority.

But the main reason I did this was because where I fly it's right off the Atlantic Ocean and there is always wind. I've been told by older club members that heavier more powerful Helis hold better in the wind.

The 24 tooth pulley lets the Xnova motor do it's thing at an optimal level of power draw. The motor, ESC and battery are coming down after a flight at the ambient temperature of the flying field so it looks like this combination is doing a great job and just want I needed.

If you want really high head speed, a high tooth count pinion is the way to go. Of course, it all depends on the motor kv and the number of LiPo cells. I am using a KDE 925kv motor and 6S packs.
