The HK5 Series lives up to and exceeds our standards of the most Powerful and Efficient motors, with market leading Torque per Amp capabilities. In addition, on the HK5 series we focused specifically on motor cooling and motor temperature. With an all new Internal Fan design, combined with our proven external centrifugal fan, we have nearly doubled the amount of airflow passing through the motor. The result is much improved cooling, and cooler operating temperatures.
The HK5-4026-1115kv is designed for 550-580 class of helicopter running on 6s lipo, or other UAV application requiring up to 4050w of power!

I’ve used HeliDirect for more many heli builds in the past. This motor was for a new Tron Gemini build. The aluminum motor box was damaged upon receipt. The motor itself had issues with extreme bearing noise isolated to the motor and excessive heat build up with initial installation to the point that the motor was too hot to touch within 20-30 seconds from startup. Gear mesh set perfectly with new Hobbywing 150 Esc. Definitely not safe to fly. I’ve always had good luck when choosing to go with Scorpion motors on several builds in the past (mainly Mikados). I emailed customer service for an exchange and the reply received was that it’s a Mikado/Scorpion issue and I need to contact them for resolution although I purchased from HeliDirect. Very disappointed. Lesson learned. Unfortunately, this new motor will have to go into the spare parts bin. Going with an Xnova and using a new vendor going forward.
