Been flying these for years with no issues at all.
This is a premium servo and likely the most expensive servos I have ever purchased. That meant my expectations were very high. The servos arrived in a clear hard plastic case with the horns in a cardboard box beneath the servo. A really nice feature of these servos is that the lead is 15" long. The servos I placed in each wing did not require any extension despite being used in a .46 sized plane. The start up tone is a pleasant way to confirm that the servos are getting power as well.
Now for the nitpicks. Some reviews stated that these servos do not buzz. It is much quieter than any other modern servos I have used, but there is still a bit of noise even when there is no load on the servo. Also, the connector at the end of the lead is a very tight fit so I sanded off a bit of the existing chamfer so they would fit my Spectrum receiver more smoothly.
If I was doing this project over, or similar projects in the future, I would buy these again.
Servos received on time, very good servos with crisp manuvers, highly recommended
Was needing a replacement servo very quickly. Greg and HeliDirect got the servo to me the next day. Been using these servos for a few years and they have been very reliable and cost effective.
The Xpert A1 has all of the qualities of the R1/R2 series. Very stout, very precise.
Extremely quite unlike other brands “buzzers”.. I highly recommend this servo to anyone needing power and speed to anyone needing 500+ torque in HV large aircraft applications.
It’s another winner from the Xpert team.
