Overview
Spektrum developed the iX series of Smart-ready transmitters for pilots seeking powerful functionality along with next-level connectivity. The 12-channel iX12 came first and was followed by the 20-channel iX20, the most advanced Spektrum air transmitter to date with an unprecedented array of features, innovations, and upgrades.

ANDROID-POWERED TOUCHSCREEN
The 4.5-inch, full-color, easy-to-read iX14 touchscreen interface provides information in crisp, clear detail and allows you to make precise setting changes with just a "tap". It cold-boots (from OFF) in less than 90 seconds and wakes from sleep in 10 seconds or less. Because this is a fully functional Android interface, it will work with an evolving list of apps from the Google Play store.
WI-FI, BLUETOOTH AND USB CONNECTIVITY

So far happy with iX 14 . Came as a replacement of the JR 12X.
I was deciding from getting a used IX20, the boot up time between IX14 and IX20 is almost the same, I decided to get the IX14
I bough IX14 It’s ok transmitter but android software is too slow like a cheap phone too much complications with software at the time to update it takes forever even if vbar is little bit more expensive I got to go over it.
I have only had the IX14 for a couple weeks and can only review on what little I know at the moment. I have a few friends who have this transmitter and was impressed with it. I thought it is a little pricey, but I thought I’ll jump on board and have one really nice radio. As I still learning with it, and so far it’s very impressive. I love the touch screen and the easy set up of a model, wether it’s a Helicopter or plane. I like the way it feels when holding it making it easy to flip the switches and control the gimbals. I have been flying RC since the late 80’s and it’s amazing how far technology has come. I can’t wait to learn all the features this transmitter has to offer. I’m guessing this may be the last one I buy. We’ll see. For most of my flying I have always used Futaba radios. A T8j and T10j. Then the past year I bought a Spektrum DX9 Black. Seems like the Spektrum radios are a little easier to program vs the Futaba. But both are really good. I’ll have updates at a later time. Happy Flying
Honestly, I’ve been flying for over 40 years and I can’t think of anything you would need that the iX14 doesn’t offer. Having flown with several different brands and models over the years, including the iX12 and 20, I say this radio is a great bargain.
Upgraded from a DX18. Booting my DX18 is faster but I like some of the features that the IX14 offer.
I love this transmitter. Once you get the hang of Andriod it is easypeasy to set up. Transferring models from a DX9 lso no problems.
Just don't selectany aother language in text-to-speech than English otherwise the telemetry will give some very weird readings....
This could be a great transmitter with a couple a fixes. First the sliders are stiffer then the iX12's. Second the throttle is sticky with small movements. For helicopter fliers this is unexceptionable! There is a fix using shrink tubing on rcgroups. These two things should be fixed before leaving the factory. I then discovered that switch D doesn't work and will have to go back to HH for repair. I would have given 5 stars if not for these issues!
I like the new IX-14, offer me all the functions I need in a functional user interface.
