RadioMaster TX16S MKII MAX AG01 Gimbal 4-in-1 Black
Great Radio for price, optional gimbals work extremely well
This transmitter is awesome! There is one catch, it is not like picking up another transmitter, it will take some time and patience to get it down but once you do the flexibility is amazing.
Have absolutely fell in love with this radio ever since receiving it. I previously owned and used the Taranis X9D+ for 7 years before upgrading and it’s a major upgrade, night and day. The build quality is excellent, it feels very sturdy yet slim and comfortable for many hours on the sim (pinch style). Obviously it’s a full size radio, but compared to a x9d it feels more compact and ergonomic. The functionality is very intuitive once you get familiar (lots of YouTube tutorials), and the edge TX customizability exceeded my expectations coming from openTX.
Finally, the gimbals are the best part about this radio, best feeling gimbals I’ve ever flown on and the ability to completely adjust travel and spring tension from the face of the gimbals is an awesome feature. If you’re on the edge about getting the AG01 version, I would highly recommend going with it even if plastic gimbals work for you, the difference I can truly feel for fast high acceleration acro moves. Overall the radio may take little to adjust to coming from a Taranis or similar, but once you are familiar with all the menus and controls, it is an absolute joy to operate. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
Great product with a lot of features
I had almost bought a Spektrum NX8 but I’m so glad I changed my mind. For the same price I feel I received a much more capable radio. Learning to program can be a bit of a challenge but I think it is half the fun. If you’re on the fence between the NX8 and TX16S. Get the TX16S.
I really like this controller, excellent quality gimbals and great functionality with edge tx
👌👍
This is my first open source transmitter. The MKII version is very high quality. Although it will be a learning curve to program, there are lots of videos on YouTube for help. I flashed it to the latest EdgeTX version with no problems. I haven't flown with it yet. Still "playing" with it on the bench. Very happy so far!
