Goosky Legend RS5 Helicopter Kit w/o Blade - Orange (Unassembled)

As always Heli Direct shipped in a timely manner. The kit was easy to assemble directions easy to follow. The duel servo size is the deciding factor for me. I am glad I purchased the RS5. Very solid design and great looks. The only challenge is wiring.

GooSky helicopters have been great and their engineering have been impressive since the start. This kit is not any different. If you want a mid size heli that will fly as good as it looks, get one and you’ll be enjoying yourself for time to come.

This bird is a truly amazing flying machine and it has surpassed my expectations, I couldn’t be happier it’s head and shoulders above many, the build is easy, low parts count, and it has very strong parts and a variety of looks that allows you to customize and create your own brand. Nothing about this bird will disappoint it will also improve your flying because it’s light, precise, and nimble everything you want in a bird and the perfect size. I totally recommend the is Helicopter to any level of pilot, loads of fun and complete satisfaction.

First impression, the parts are of amazing quality, fit and finish is beautifully done. I looked forward to this build but became very frustrated with the instructions provided in the kit. I’ve built, Align, SAB, Mikado and Gaui kits with out issue using provided manual, however this R5 kit did not provide the necessary information necessary when building using mini servos. It wasn’t until the Heli was done that the major issue became apparent. Both the front top servo bracket and rear servo bracket was installed, servos mount and wired that the swashplate was way off. Only after researching did I find my instruction manual (page 7) did not include the red box highlighting “if using mini servos the front and rear servo brackets must be flipped”. This would have saved a lot of time and frustration on this build. So if you’re reading this review and building an R5 make sure you’re instruction manual is the updated one. Helidirect should be taping an updated sheet to the top of every new R5 kit shipped just in case the manual inside isn’t the updated version for mini servos install, that’s how other manufacturers notified customers of build updates. Also Goosky does not give the correct cyclic link measurements for using mini servos either, also frustrating.

Guess this is the pains of dealing with a fairly new company in the Heli market. How in the world do you market a Heli to use both full and mini servos but produce a manual in the kit without instructions on using mini servos. Have a way to go to perfect their brand. Not sure I would purchase another Goosky kit at this point, ONE STAR rating for me. Wasted a lot of time because of Goosky instruction manual.

Excelente maquina, su estructura muy solida,las piezas encajan perfecto, hay que reconocer que el toldo es un poco débil, sus paredes delgadas.

This is the first helicopter I have built in about 5 years, as I could no longer get the parts needed to repair my Mikado Logo 550. This is a real refinement in design and was a joy to construct. Patrick has been invaluable in answering my questions and providing advice. Excellent customer support!

Great kit with good quality parts. It was an easy build. Several of the critical components were preassembled with Loctite.

Do not miss out on this heli. If you do you will regret it!
