Align TB60 Helicopter Combo (6S)

Upon receiving the helicopter doing the build and getting time to test fly. Took 9 days.
Promptly contacted HD about it. Did all the required information and steps. Can't return after 7 days. Now warranty. Said give them 5 days. Its been that no parts for the failed clutch. Assume Align has 100 % perfect manufacturing. And there is no warranty on kit quality. Or HD standing behind what they sell anymore. This was not the case 10 years ago.

Pic 4 the inside of the pre assembled pully. Had to remove the bearing to see that its slipped the sleeve inside there.
Assume need new pully assembly.
And that Trans shaft to be sure.

Note align has 3 different versions of this one way. Superseded numbers.

The kit is nice and was easy to assemble. Only difficult part for me was try to get the tail shaft into the tail pulley as the belt was tight and keeping the pulley from aligning with the side brace holes. The manual could be better written like the Sab Govlin manual that are very well put together.

Really like the new TB60 design. This my second with a TB40. Kit is well laid out easy to assemble. Only gripe is the align branded hobbywing esc. I would not provide telemetry data via the hobbywing sbus adapter. So I had to replace it with a real hobbywing esc.

Helicopter is well built and goes together well. Love having all the electronics included so as my skills improve I can upgrade the electronics to match my skill. Also always know parts are available for Align kits.

Align TB60 Helicopter Combo (6S)

The suppled HobbyWing Platinum 150 amp V5 ESC is defective. It will not go into throttle calibration mode. It just blinks a red light. The flight controller I'm using is a Spektrum FC6250hx. I have this particular FC installed in two other helicopter. One uses a HW Platinum 60 amp esc and the other uses a Platinum 80 amp esc. I had no problem with either doing the throttle calibration. So my assumption is that the supplied ESC is defective.
Until I get a replacement ESC I'm at a standstill. You may be asking yourself isn't that component under warranty it is and it is not. If you don't have the serial number of the kit the warranty will not be honored. I mention this because I thought a part was missing and contacted HeliDirect. They told me without the serial number of the kit their hands are tied.

I’ve built quite a few kits and this is an amazing and easy build! HeliDirect is a great place to shop on line, and prices and shipping is very reasonable. Would also like to add that Patrick is always a huge help when it comes to support!

I have been flying Align Helicopters for over 25 years now. and when I think they can't improve....Baaaaaaaaam here comes the TB40, TB60, and the TB70. I purchased all three of these recently. No one can out do ALIGN
