SAB ILGoblin PRO 420 Helicopter Kit - With Main & Tail Blades - Yellow

What a great Kit. SAB never disappoints.

Heli Direct does a great job with their power combo. It’s a very solid setup without being overzealous on cost. Lots of power with the Xnova motor and great flight time (5+ min) when paired with a 2600 6s LiHv.

I got this looking to upgrade from my aging Goosky RS4 which was previously the most-flow heli in my fleet over the last 18 months or so. This SAB 420 looks, feels, and flies very much like my Goblin 520 pro which I LOVE. Huge upgrade over the flight characteristics of the RS4 in my opinion. So now I can have the amazing looks and rock-solid feel of my 520 but in the smaller 420 size which is easier to transport, smaller/cheaper batteries & parts, etc. Its true that SAB's are x2 the price of the other brand heli's but man are they sweet!

I have bought all of my larger (420 and up) Heli's from HeliDirect and they have not disappointed me at all. Great stock availability.

This is a quality kit. Everything from the packaging to the instruction manual was top notch. Parts are bagged according to the page number in the manual. The kit went together with no issues.

This kit went together very well. Even a beginner could build one of these. Everything about this design and build seemed deliberate and had a lot of thought put into it. The colors, the design of the canopy, the motor mount, the battery tray, the tail boom, everything has its place and it works great.
I was having a hard time tuning out the tail wobbles (Radiomaster Nexus FBL w/ Rotorflight) until I realized I had the BEC voltage at 5V instead of 8.4V. After I fixed that it cleaned right up and was rock solid. I guess they designed the airframe around HV servos so make sure yours are fast enough. I'm running the stock blades and it seems to like higher rpms due to their smaller chord length.
If you are between this and the OMPHOBBY M4 Max, get the SAB it is better in every way. The M4 Max is actually about 100 grams lighter but it flies like a stretched 380 not a true 420 size. The M4 Max is more squirrelly and easier to crash than the iLGoblin 420 even though they are almost the same size. Yes parts are cheaper for M4 but since you will crash more often it will become more expensive in the long run. The iLGoblin is a little slower and ironically slightly less good at low rpm flying but overall more predictable in flight. Therefore it's easier to practice maneuvers on and more forgiving if you get out of shape.

Very well designed and the color and design just pop. The 420 sized kits are easy to transport and fly about anywhere. Does not disappoint.
