Align TB40 Helicopter TOP Combo

The Microbeast that comes with this combo is OLD OLD OLD and has simple things locked behind paywalls. Otherwise the helicopter is mechanically amazing. It's a beautiful bird even when she eats dirt. Get the non top combo version and put a nexus XR in it and you will not be dissapointed. I put some rotortech 71mm blades on the tail and that helped with wag too. I have 0 wag on this helicopter now.

This is my second TB40 and I can't say enough good things about it. If I had anything to gripe about, it would be the BeastX. Not a fan. I prefer the Spektrum 6250 or the MSHeli Brain 2. The fit and finish is excellent. I like to built and these complete kits are incredible at the price point. As for HeliDirect, they are fantastic, fast shipping and great customer service. Would recommend this kit and HeliDirect yo anyone

This is the 3rd time I have tried reaching out to HeliDirect. Something is clearly not right. The swash control arm label of ALIGN is obviously upside down.
I would have thought HeliDirect would reach out and say, “yes. That’s not right. We will send you new control arms.”
Nothing but silence.
Everything else on the kit seems great! What else do I have to do to get some support?
As for now. I would not recommend anyone buy this heli kit from HeliDirect.

I bought the Align TB40 Super Combo kit in hope I have everything to get it ready to fly. The FBL system was from Freakware. I only have been familiar for Helicopter with Bavarian Demon until that time. I tried the Beast but i gave up after one day. There is no support from Helidirect for this FBL device. I later changed to Demon which was setup quickly and save. I asked for return, but they refused.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with their recent TB40 build? Seems my control arms have the “Align” print upside down? Have reached out to HELIDIRECT a few days ago but haven’t heard anything whatsoever back.

This is good little heli from Align just like their other 380 class helis. I have owned a couple of Align 450 helis back in the day and currently own a TREX 470LM and a TB70. The TB40 reminds me a lot of the 470LM in flight characteristics (same size helis). I was hoping Align would have used the same flat laying servo layout for the front two servos they did with the TB60 & TB70. It had a couple of areas that were a little bit of a pain during the build, but most of these small helis do. I had similar issues with the 470LM during that build. For the most part this little heli was not hard to build and it went fairly smoothly. I decided to use some of my vinyl to get the tail boom in a similar color scheme to match the canopy. This is good grab & go heli for some quick flights. I typically take it out with the 470LM as they both use the same batteries & I can get to fly them both. I have also used the TB40 as a warmup heli for my bigger ones when out flying. I would have to say overall I like it and it is another good heli with a great price point from Align. You can't beat their super combo kits for the price.

This little heli looks super cool. I haven’t finished the build yet. But Align never disappoints. I ordered the orange tail boom and I love it. Buy this kit you won’t be sorry.

Just finished putting together my new TB40. Wow this thing is sweet! No slop in the head or tail assemblies at all, rock solid. Setup the microbeast ultra which was nowhere near as awkward as people say, pretty straightforward when following the instructions. Done a few test hovers and this thing is nice! No issues with the assembly, electrics, or performance. We'll done Align! And thank you HeliDirect! Great price and fast shipping. No complaints here 👌
